For more than twenty-five years, the Village Alliance has been a prominent advocate for Greenwich Village. Operating as a Business Improvement District, the Alliance collaborates with residents, businesses, cultural institutions, and academic entities to facilitate ongoing growth and prosperity within the district. Their core mission is to enhance the neighborhood's quality of life by fostering a clean, safe, green, and enjoyable environment. The Alliance manages a range of programs focused on economic development, community revitalization, marketing and promotional activities for businesses, public safety initiatives, sanitation services, graffiti removal, horticulture projects, streetscape improvements, creative placemaking endeavors, and tourist information services.
